Come thru sis! D.C.'s very own Shi-Queeta Lee made history as the first drag queen to perform at the White House.
Lee had the honor of performing her fierce rendition of Tina Turner’s “Proud Mary” at the White House on Thursday for the Office of Public Engagement’s Transgender Community Briefing
The briefing was designed to “unite transgender leaders and other community members to discuss policy issues affecting the transgender community and to celebrate the cultural accomplishments of the community,” according to the Washington Blade.
