Episodes 1 and 2 of New Series LIT Streaming Now!

If you haven't started watching LIT already you're in luck!  They are only two episodes in so its plenty of time to get caught up.  We started watching last night and we have to admit its pretty well done.  LIT follows the young and naive Nehemiah "Nemo" as he journeys from Augusta, GA to Atlanta with aspirations to become a model. After getting accepted into the modeling agency, Nemo is introduced to Gorgious who runs a local strip club. Nemo gets sucked into the life and starts working there and his life begins crashing all around him.

At Age 75 Jean Wimberly Is Still Fighting For LGBTQ Rights For Black Women

75-year-old Jean Wimberly could very well be considered a living icon in the LGBTQ movement. When she moved from Philadelphia to New York in the early 1970's, she joined women's support groups and become a social activist for black lesbians. She later founded Circle of Voices, Inc. based in Brooklyn and remains involved in LGBTQ advocate today.

1993 Clip of The Gay and Lesbian March On Washington Shows Not Much Has Changed For LGBTQ Persons of Color

We've come so far!  But have we really?  In this vintage clip of Black AIDS Institute Founder Phil Wilson at the 1993 March on Washington for Gay, Lesbian, and Bi Rights, we hear that the problems he faced back still need to be addressed.  Wilson is still hard at work at age 60.  Check out the clip of him below.
